Tower cranes are iconic and essential machines seen at large construction sites. At the top of the mast is a slewing unit, a combination of gears and motors that allows the crane to rotate 360 degrees. Mounted above this unit are three primary components: the long horizontal jib (or working arm), a shorter counter jib that holds counterweights, and the operator’s cab where controls are managed. The load hook, responsible for lifting and moving materials, is located on the working arm and is powered by a dedicated hoisting motor.Tower cranes are known for their precision, strength, and ability to operate at great heights and distances.
